Dear subscriber,

We are happy to report that all is well at the AlterSage head office. This month we started with quite a number of new and exciting client campaigns. During February, Christine made her radio debut and was interviewed on both SA FM and Lotus FM. Furthermore, we also hosted a successful workshop that focused on the elements of online marketing. Another workshop is scheduled for April, please contact Carla if you would like more information or to book a seat.

What we're up to

Christine was invited to present at the Mega Media Expo in Johannesburg on 5 March. During her presentation, Christine discussed various ways to achieve results through online marketing. AlterSage believes in a through-the-line campaign to maximise exposure by including online marketing as part of your overall marketing strategy. The main online marketing elements Christine discussed included Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising and Social Media. Christine also looked at South African brands that implemented through-the-line strategies. You can view Christine's presentation on SlideShare.

Christine is attending My Mentor sessions, a Cape IT Initiative (CITI) initiative with Cape Venture Partners, on a fortnightly basis as part of AlterSage's participation in the annual My Mentor project. This initiative allows small to medium businesses in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry to be mentored in various categories including turnover, employees, capacity and so forth. In the past three months, AlterSage has benefited greatly from the project and we are looking forward to the next three months.

Social media is a powerful platform and can create great awareness, but in order to achieve maximum exposure, it is important to utilise a multi-channel approach. This means not only using online channels but also offline channels to create a through-the-line campaign. Read more.
