It is here! The time has come and the AlterSage team can say with all certainty that we have World Cup fever! We are proud to be South African and even if Bafana Bafana don't win the World Cup, as the host country, South Africa will do us proud.

June is an exciting month all-round. Other than the World Cup soccer matches there are many events taking place and to top things off, Christine will be representing AlterSage at the SMX Advanced Conference in Seattle. Read more below!

An interesting article by Brian Palmer in which he discusses the inner workings of search engines and how the big players in the industry are continuously working to make search results more relevant for users.

Ten outstanding social media infographics
Infographics are all the rage at the moment, and we came across ten amazing social media infographics on NowSourcing.com. Infographics are visually attractive and are an interesting way of presenting 'boring' data. Enjoy!

Why you should invest in PPC
Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising is a valuable online marketing channel that can not only drive traffic to your website quickly, but can also be a great lead generation tool. PPC can be used in conjunction with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to ensure that a website receives traffic whilst the SEO campaign is still acquiring rankings for the website on search engines. Read more to see why PPC is the best way to see immediate and targeted traffic.

Add search muscle to your marketing strategy
Very few marketers consider Search Engine Marketing (SEM) when they plan or revise their marketing strategies. SEM comprises Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising and this blog post focus on the marketing results that can be achieved when these two online channels are combined.

Last Word

Christine is attending the world-renowned SMX Advanced in Seattle and will be tweeting and blogging about her experience whilst there. SMX Advanced is the crème de la crème of Search and Social Media conferences globally and seats for the conference sell out in days - we're very happy to represent the Cape Town tech community at this event. Christine is planning to host a sharing session based on what she learned at the conference early in July, depending on interest. If you would like to attend, please drop Carla an email. On that note, keep warm and well until July!

See the possibilities,
Christine and The Sages
