Because February is the month of love, we've decided to focus this newsletter on the relationship between your brand and your customers.

Email Marketing is one of the best tools for brand building and customer relationship management (CRM), as it puts your brand right into your customers' most frequent point of contact with the Internet - their inboxes. As such, permission-based Email Marketing is an effective way of building and strengthening customer relationships whilst increasing brand awareness.

Out and About

Radical Rhubarb a.k.a the January GeekDinner took place on 27 January at the Wild Fig in Observatory. More than 100 industry peers gathered to network and listen to a number of presentations. A big thanks to Delheim who sponsored the wine for the evening!

Habari Media hosted a breakfast on 4 February in Cape Town to announce their new partnership with Facebook. Invited speakers discussed the current situation of social media in South Africa - read more about the presentations on Bizcommunity.com.

Christine will be discussing "Enhancing ROI through Web Usability" at the 4th Interactive Marketing Summit in Johannesburg on 18 and 19 March 2010. The conference will take place at the Indaba Hotel, and industry experts will be providing valuable insight to attendees. To attend, book your seat online.

At the end of March, Christine will be presenting at the CRM: Marketing Loyalty Metrics conference in Johannesburg. Her presentation will look at how to use social media to build and strengthen relationships with current and potential customers in order to extend customer loyalty beyond its expected life cycle. Industry News

Jonathan looked at "What is in store for digital marketing" as part of Bizcommunity's Biz 2010 Trend Report. A few of our predictions include that great customer service and results will be the key to a brand's success, that social media will become more mainstream, and that big brands will pay more attention to through-the-line strategies.
